Southwire Company LLC Plant Tour

Bus leaves at 11:45 a.m.; returns at 4:15 p.m.

Southwire Company will host a two-part tour of its Carrollton, Georgia, facilities.

Attendees will tour Southwire’s 1 million sq ft. Utility Products Plant, where a variety of innovative and patented products are manufactured. This facility was the first in a series of manufacturing plants. The plant achieved OSHA VPP Star status in 2011. Southwire’s Utility Products Plant manufactures products that support low and medium voltage cables for investor owned utilities, municipals, and utility distributors.

The second part of the tour features Southwire’s Building Wire Cable Plant, a 750k sqft. facility. The plant achieved OSHA VPP Star status in 2012. This facility is Southwire’s primary producer of material that supports the construction industry through retail and distribution markets. It also houses a compounding plant which internally supplies PVC to Southwire’s production facilities.
